Given Sides are 16cm,12cm and 20cm.

Let a = 16cm, b = 12cm, c = 20cm.

We know that Semiperimeter s:

= > (a + b + c)/2

= > (16 + 12 + 20)/2

= > 24cm.

Now,

Area of triangle ABC:

 =>\sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}

 =>\sqrt{24(24 - 16)(24 - 12)(24 - 20)}

 =>\sqrt{24(8)(12)(4)}

 =>\sqrt{9216}

 =>\sqrt{(96)^2}

 => 96cm^2

It is given that the floor is made up of 16 tiles.

Area of 16 times = 96 * 16 = 1536cm^2.

Given that Cost of polishing per cm^2 Area = 1.

Cost of polishing 1536cm^2 Area = 1536 * 1

= > 1536.

Hope it helps!
