The Communist Party of India (Maoist) is a Maoist communist party in India which aims to overthrow the government of India through people's war. It was founded on 21 September 2004, through the merger of the Communist Party of India People's War, and the Maoist Communist Centre of India.

maosist are those communists who believe in idealogy of mao, the leader of Chinese revolution. they seek to overthrow the government through an armed revolution so as to establish rule of peasants and workers.
