Using Snell's law on refracting point
we find
sin i * r.i1 = sin r* r.i2
where i = incident angle
r = refracting angle
r.i = refracting index of medium
now for air r.i=1
and for glass r.i =1.6(given)
now
. ( sin i/ sin r) = 1 .6/1
or, sin 53°/ sin r =1. 6
or , sin r = (4/5)*(1/1.6)
or ,sinr=( 1 / 2)
or r = 30°
Hence refracting ray makes an angle of 30° with normal..
