Heya friend here is your ans

Hydrochloric acid is secreted by the glands present on the stomach walls. It dissolves bits of food and creates an acidic medium. The acidic medium allows pepsinogen to be converted into pepsin. ... Therefore,if HCl were not secreted in the stomach, then pepsinwould not be activated.

hope it helped you

hey good evening dear
if hcl were not secreated in this stomach so pepsin would not be activated in stomach. this would be affect the protein digestion.
