Thinking.....

Hmmmm....

Hmmmmm....

Heya... I've a doubt!

➡️Can we open the box and take some balls out? Is it allowed?

If it is allowed, then I think the following step'll work out:

➡️As it is given there are 10 boxes...

So...any of the boxes can be the defective one.

So, lemme call box 1 as A

box 2: B

box 3: C

.........

box 10: J

So....

I'm totally leaving box A.

Lemme pick 1 ball from box B

2 balls from box C

3 balls from box D

.......

9 balls from box J

So, totally from 9 boxes(I left box A), I picked 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9= (9/2)(1+9) =4.5×10=45 balls.

So....I took all these balls and placed them on the weighing machine(or weighing spring).

As we know one box contains defective balls.

So if box A was the defective one, since I haven't take any balls from box A, the rest 45 balls would totally weigh 45×10g= 450grams.

So...if 450g is shown on the weighing machine, we can conclude that box A is defective!

If box B was defective, since I took 1 ball from it, then the weighing measurement would have been 450g -1= 449 grams.

If box C was defective, since I took 2 ball from it, then the weighing measurement would have been 450g -2=448g

If box D was defective, since I took 3 ball from it, then the weighing measurement would have been 450g -3=447g

Similarly,

if box E= weight displayed= 446grams.

Box F= 445

box G= 444

H=443

I=442

J=441grams

So by just weighing the 45 balls for one time, I can easily point out which box is the defective one...

sanchari46: that u can do, by taking 1 ball from each at once or by taking all balls, it completely depends on u
sanchari46: ya
SunTheHelpingHand: Yeah thankyou

.............just simple.................

Consider all 10 boxes have 10 gm balls

then..,

by substracting ,...100gms( that is weight of one box) from the weight of the truck ....for the first time. u will get the. weight that matches with your consideration..( that is. ..what u have calculated :weight of truck+ wight of all boxes(1000gm) ......,(100 gm each as considered) minus 100g).the box at which it mismathches( as 90gms) that is the answer...................

...... MARK AS BRAINLIEST.......

sanchari46: but we can do it for just once, not more than it
