area of BCED = 2× 1/2 DL × BC

= DL × BC

= 7 × DC

as it's equal to area of triangle

AB = 7.5
AC= 6.5
BC= 7

s = (7.5+6.5+7)/2 = 21/2 = 10.5

area = √ 10.5( 10.5-7.5)(10.5-6.5)(10.5-7)

= √ 10.5× 3 × 4 × 3.5

= √441
= 21

So 7× DC = 21

DC = 3
