Oxidation reaction =Removal of hydrogen and addition of oxygen.

Reduction = Removal of oxygen and addition of hydrogen.

oxidation means when a substance contains oxygen or loses hydrogen the oxidation of a substance takes place .

Reduction-- means when a substance gains hydrogen or looses oxygen ,the reduction of substance takes place.
