While, Past U.S President Abraham Lincoln defined democracy as "Government of the people, by the people, for the people."
▶A democracy is a country in which the people choose their government by voting for it.
▶Democracy includes the guarantee of human rights to every person.
▶In democracy one vote has 1 value for every citizen.
▶There is a separation of the institutions within, between government and the parliament, and the courts of law.
▶In any democracy these should be fulfilled That is :-
⏩ a freedom of religion,
⏩ freedom of opinion (in speech, press, and media),
⏩The right to vote (Universal Franchise).
▶The richest countries in all over the world are considered to be democracies.
▶India is the largest democracy in the world.
▶Democracy is a system of rule by laws and is not run by an individuals.
▶ In a democracy, the rule of law protects the rights of citizens and also it ensures that all the rules and regulations are'nt violated.
