Total students=720
Ratio of boys to girls=7:5=7m,5m
Equation:-
7m+5m=720
12m=720
m=720/12
m=60
Therefore,
Boys=7m=7*60=420
Girls=5m=5*60=300
For the ratio of 1:1
120 more girls needed to make ratio 1:1. But total students will be more now.
OTHERWISE
720/2=360 both girls and boys needed to form ratio 1:1 and total no. of students will be same.
