❓❓In any experiment to compare and observe the pressure exerted by a solid on sand. A student placed the iron cuboid on sand in three different manner in contact with sand as A1 , A2 ,A3 respectively . If the corresponding depress observed by him were d1 ,d2 ,d3 then

1) d1 : d2 : d3 = A1: A2 : A3

2) d1 : d2 : d3

3) d1 : d2 : d3 = 1/ a1: 1/ a2 : 1/ a3

4) d1 / a1 + d2 / a2 + d3 / a3 = constant

We know,

P = F/A

ATQ,

F is proportional to D. (As more is the force more is the depression)

D is inversely proportional to A, as F is inversely proportional to D

So,

D1 inversely proportional to A1

D2 inversely proportional to A2

D3 inversely proportional to A3

Let's remove proportionality by constant k1, k2, k3

So,

D1 = K1/A1

D2 = K2/A2

D3 = K3/A3

We have,

D1/A1 = K1/A1^2

= K'... (1)

Which is also a constant,

D2/A2 = K2/A2^2

= K''...(2)

D3/A3 = K3/A3^2

= K"'..(3)

So from (1),(2) and (3)

4) option is correct!
