OWLS WINGS, HOWEVER ARE UNIQUE BECAUSE THEY REDUCE NOISE CAUSED TURBULENCE. THE MAIN REASON OWLS CAN FLY SILENTLY IS THE UNIQUELY DESIGNED LEADING EDGES OF THEIR PRIMARY FEATHERS. WHEN MOST BIRDS FLY, TURBULENCE - - CREATED WHEN AIR GUSHES OVER THE SURFACE OF THEIR WINGS - - CAUSES NOISE.

owl don't fly silently. Owl makes sound above 20000hz frequency so that the human ear can not hear above 20000hz or below 20hz. so therefore we asume that the owl fly silently. But in actual owl can not see in dark so he makes sound and if some thing is accross in his way then his sound waves bang on that thing and reverse the sound to owl. Hence Owl chang his way.
