There is a famous adage , ' Procrastination is the killer of time'. The greatest enemy of success is procrastination . It is the habit of delaying any action for a later time.
In the famous Shakespearean tragedy 'Hamlet' the greatest tragic flaw of the tragic hero Hamlet was procrastination . It was due to procrastination that ultimately Hamlet lost his life.
We should always be prompt in our actions. We should not leave any work for future. Sant Kabir had advised that what we should do tomorrow should be done today and what should be done today should be done just now.
In the heart rending story 'The Last Lesson' by Alphonse Daudet, all the French folk in a border area of Alsace and Lorraine had delayed their proper learning of their mother language.
This delay proved very expensive as the area was occupied by the Prussian soldiers who banned the speaking of French. The little boy Frank who never reached school on time and never learnt his French grammer felt ashamed that he had not learnt his mother tongue when there was time.
Then it was too late and he wouldn't get the opportunity to learn French again.
We should thus complete all that we are supposed to do, be it learning our lessons, doing our work or completing our assignments , everything should be done on time.
