answer is 10 seconds by using newtons second equation
s= ut + 1/2 gt square
here s = height =490
g=9.8 u = initial velocity =0
so
490=0×t+ 1/2× 9.8×t square
490= 0+4.9×t sqare
t square =490/4.9
t square =100
t =10
mass does not matter in free fall
s= ut + 1/2 gt square
here s = height =490
g=9.8 u = initial velocity =0
so
490=0×t+ 1/2× 9.8×t square
490= 0+4.9×t sqare
t square =490/4.9
t square =100
t =10
mass does not matter in free fall

Heya Friend, Here Is the Answer Indeed,
Given is mass(m) = 5kg ( Doesn't matter, since gravitational force on any object is independent of mass).
Height(h) = 490 m.
Now, we have to just apply Newton's Second equation of motion,{ h = ut + 0.5 *at^2}
490=0+0.5*9.8*t^2
490/(0.5*9.8)=t^2
490/(4.9)=t^2
100=t^2
√(100)=t
10=t
or t=10 seconds.
Hope it helps...
