Solve 109 x 81

We will be using Base Method of Multiplication (<Base & >Base)

109   + 9     (Difference of 109 and 100 as 100 is the base number over here)

x  89  - 11   (Difference of 89 and 100)

Now Multiply +9 and -11 and we get the answer as -99 (One part of our answer)

Then Cross add any two numbers be it 89 and 9 so the answer comes is 98 (Another Part of our answer)

Now this -99 Needs to be understand as this is the vinculum Number

By joining both the parts of our answer we get the vinculum Number as:

$98\bar{9} \bar{9}$

So How to convert this vinculum number to the original number?

First we need to take the complement of 9 that is 1 and add 1 to the next vinculum number.

So then the next number will be 10 which will be 2 digits in such case keep the 0 as it is then subtract 1 from the next number.

So then we get the answer: 9701
