What will be the molarity of a solution, which contains 5.85 g of NaCl(s) per 500 mL?

Mass=5.85g

molar mass of NaCl=23+35.5

=58.5g/mol

volume of solution=500ml. = 0.5L

no of moles =5.85/58.5 = 0.1 mol

molarity = moles/ volume

=0.1/0.5

=0.2M
