Heya !!
Here is your answer ⬇⬇

HAPLONTIC LIFE CYCLE
______________________

⭕★ In haplontic life cycle the dominant phase is GAMETOPHYTE

⭕★The gametophyte is Free-living

⭕★ Sporophyte is not Free-living

⭕★ The mitoses only occur in haploid cells.

Eg - Algae and bryophytes

DIPLONTIC LIFE CYCLE
______________________

⭕★ The life cycle in which the dominant phase is SPOROPHYTE

⭕★ The Sporophyte is Free-living

⭕★ The Gametophyte is not Free-living

⭕★ In Diplontic lifecycle, the zygote undergoes mitosis.

Eg - The diplontic life cycle is found in the Sargassum in which there is no alternation of generation.

HAPLODIPLONTIC LIFE CYCLE
______________________

⭕★ Both gametophyte and sporophyte are free-living and multicellular

⭕ ★ Gametophyte and sporophyte have different dominant phases.

⭕★ It is na intermediate condition of both Haplontic and Diplontic life cycle

Eg - This type of life cycle is noticed in the ferns

The main difference between haplontic and diplontic life cycle is that the main form of thehaplontic life cycle is haploid and its diploid zygote is formed for a short period of time whereas the main form of the diplontic life cycle is diploid, which produce gametes.
