Why is the temperature in coastal areas different from the interior of the continent ??

Answer:

Coastal regions have a smaller range of temperature than continental interiors. Why? Water has a higher heat capacity than soil and rock, so the ocean takes much longer to heat and to cool than the land. ... So why every day the land heats much faster than the sea, and every night the land cools faster.
