The Origins of the Caste System. According to one long-held theory about the origins of South Asia's caste system, Aryans from central Asia invaded South Asia and introduced the caste system as a means of controlling the local populations. The Aryans defined key roles in society, then assigned groups of people to them.
For students
Till 12th grade caste ssystem does not come in to picture in any students life as the corporate schools and colleges are busy money making. They need fee paying students but not students looking for reservations.
Now after coming to engineering, people who belong to the castes with reservations like bc,sc,st and minority cannot decide up on themselves in most of the cases if they want to study in good college vs interested branch in engg. In 90% of the cases people who like to go with reputed college end up taking a different stream than what they ate interested in and live in a world where if you study in this college you will get a good job.
Now people who would like to go with their interests end up in a college with no good facilities. In both the cases it all depends on the interests of the student who should have a clear intention and goal in their mind to achieve something.
