If radii of two cylinder are in the ratio 3:4 and their heights are in the ratio 6:5, find the ratio of their Curved Surface Area.

\huge\bf\red{SOLUTION:-}

Let their radii be 3r and 4r

Let the height be 6h and 5h

Therefore,

Curved Surface Area of the first cylinder=S1= 2πrh

=> S1= 2×π×3r×6h

=>S1= 36πrh

Curved Surface Area of the second cylinder=S2= 2π×4r×5h

=> S2 = 40πrh

Now , According to the question,

 \frac{s1}{s2} = \frac{36\pi \: r \: h}{40\pi \: rh}

 = \frac{9}{10}

Hence,

The ratio of Curved surface area= 9:10
