DiyanaN: thank u sir
DiyanaN: my doubt was that wont 2 ampere b answer?
DiyanaN: in ans key , ans is 1A
kvnmurty: @physicsteacher: it is not required to calculate effective resistance of 6 Ω and 9 Ω...
kvnmurty: Solvable in one step.
Physicsteacher: I just solved it to illustrate use of Kirchoff's rule so that any other question of this type might not pose any problem to the user.

Very simple to solve in two steps.

Effective resistance across CD = 6/2 = 3 Ω.

As voltage across ACD = 12V, current through it: 12V /(3+3)Ω = 2 A.

As two resistances between CD are equal, 1 Amp flows in each.

DiyanaN: tysm sir
