Given,

Initial speed of bomb = 20 m/s

Height = 80 m

We know :

❥ h = ut +1/2 gt²

➩ 80 = 0(t) + 1/2 (g)(t)²

➩ 80 = 1/2 ×10×t² =5t²

➩ t = √16

t=4 s

We know :

❥ Distance = speed × time

Distance travelled by hunter in 2s

⇒ 10×2 = 20m.

Range of the bomb :

⇒ 20 ×4=80m.

∴ remaining distance=80-20=60m.

Now,

V - horizontal = 60/2 = 30m/s

To find V-vertical :-

❥ s = ut+1/2 at²

➩ 0=v(2)+1/2 ×g×4

v=10m/s

Resultant velocity :-

❥ √ Vx ² + Vy ²

➩ √ 30²+10² =√900+100

➩ √ 1000 = 10√10 .

The firing speed of the bullet is 10√10 m/s.
