Here's your answer mate
The probablity of winning the race is
p(w) = 2x -  \frac{1}{6}
Where x = probability of losing the race
And p(w) = probablity of winning the race

Let the probability of losing the race = 'x'.

Given that probability of winning a race is 1/6 times twice of losing the race.

So, the probability of winning the race = 2x - (1/6).

Now,

We know that P(winning the race) + P(Losing the race) = 1

= > (2x - 1/6) + (x) = 1

= > 2x - 1/6 + x = 1

= > 3x - 1/6 = 1

= > 3x = 1 + 1/6

= > 3x = 7/6

= > x = 7/18.

Hence,

Probability of winning the race = 2x - 1/6

= > 2(7/18) - 1/6

= > 14/18 - 1/6

= > 66/18

= > 11/18.

Therefore, the probability of winning the race = 11/18.

Hope this helps!
