Easy h

Power of the lens is +5D

Here + sign indicates nature of lens is convex lens. Where as if it was negative then its nature would be concave lens.

Power = 1 / focal length

5 = 1 / f

f = 0.2 m or 20 cm

Answer:

As the focal length is positive, it is a convex lens

Explanation:

Power of a lens is determined by the formula P=1/f (when focal length is in meters) and P=100/f (when focal length is in centimeters) Here,the power is given as 5 diopters. On equating we get, ⇒5=100/f ⇒f=100/5 =20 cms.
