Heya!!
▪Question for this week▪
_______________________

3 friends go to a restaurant.

Each of them orders a burger of Rs. 25.

They have there burgers and give Rs.75 to the waiter.

The manager asks the waiter to give them a discount of Rs.5 as they were his regular customers.

The waiter sees that he could not divide Rs.5 between 3 people, so he keeps Rs.2 as tip with himself and gives Re.1 to each friend.

The friends took their Re.1(each) back and were about to leave. At the moment, a friend again calculated the bill.

Calculations:

Total amount given = Rs.75
Discount to the friends = Rs.5
Amount with waiter = Rs.2
Amount returned to each friend = Re.1

Then, the bill if each friend had to pay separately = Rs.25 - Rs.1 = Rs.24

So, total bill as per the above calculations = Rs.24 × 3people = Rs.72

Total amount given to the waiter before discount = Rs.72 + Rs.2 (taken by waiter) = Rs 74

Delete Answer which was correct :

Total amount given to the waiter before discount =

70 (manager) + 2 (waiter ) + 3 (discounted given back to boys)
= 75

This is exact calculation

You added Rs. 2 of waiter twice which is present in 72 (70+ 2) .
Rs:72 contain money of both waiter and Manager
in which 2 goes with waiter and 70 goes with Manager.
Remaining 3 Rs is in pocket of 3 boys as discount.

iamalpha: If I had added Rs.2 Twice...it woukd be Rs. 77 then..
