Subject: Problem of female foeticide

Respected Sir,
I am writing this letter to
express my deep anguish over the problem of female foeticide in our country. In
spite of the stringent laws against female foeticide, this evil practice is
going on rampantly in many states of India such as Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan,
U.P. and Bihar. But it is most prevalent in our state

The latest data and forecast
issued by the government are quite discouraging. The gender ratio in India is
becoming disproportionate. The number of males per females is increasing. The
data predicts that in the coming years the ratio of young women is going to
fall alarmingly. In 2011 the ratio was 939 and in 2021 it will be 904.

Female foeticide is one of the
many causes behind this falling ratio. People in India prefer sons to daughters.
As a result female foeticide is practiced unscrupulously in our state and others also.

Therefore I request you to take strict actions against the growing problem of female foeticide and also order concerned Ministry
to look into the problem and take more stringent measures to stop this evil practice.
