 \maltese \pmb{\bold{\: lets \: know \: briefly :  -} }

 \qquad \:  \qquad \:   \underline{\pmb{ \sf{droughts}}}

The increase in the concentration of carbondioxide and green house gases like methane , Nitrogen oxide , chloroflurocarbon etc are responsible for increasing temperature on Earth . These gases traps the Earth's heat and cause Global warming which affects the soil with erosion and devoid of vegetative cover occurs will not retain moisture for so long . Hence there would be Droughts and will cause land degradation .

\qquad \:  \qquad \:   \underline{\pmb{ \sf{floods}}}

Rising temperature will lead to the melting of glaciers which will form natural lakes between the mounds of debris and rocks that are left behind by the sliding if glaciers .This means that the glacial lakes will be fled with water from the melting of ice faster than the rare at which that can be drained , this making glacier lakes flood frequently and will lead to land degradation .

 \rm \overbrace {but \: the \: major \: cause \: of \: land \: degradation \: is \: pollution }

As Air pollution leads Global warming

And because of Global warming Floods and droughts occur .
