\textbf{Answer:}

The chapter \textbf{The Desert } introduces us to the wonders of nature. This chapter concentrates much on conveying information about the desert.

It summarizes that a desert does not have any water or vegetation. It can be too hot at the day time and even too cold at the night. Also an oasis seems to be like a green island in the middle of the desert.

Animals and plants that live in desert require less water to survive, so this is a kind of amazing fact. Deserts are very important and the plants / flowers that grow here, enrich it's quality and cherish it's beauty.

(ii) The two phrases that describe the desert as specialists see it are "a beautiful place" & "the home of a variety of flora and fauna".

➡ We can conclude that the (ii) description is apt because this is what we've always been experiencing from a long time.

\textbf{ Answer 1: }

➡ A desert, according to me is a dry, hot and scary place that can even make you feel cold at night. Visiting a desert can give you a fierce, burning and intense experience. These deserts occupy a lot of land mass. Mostly homeless people live there, like nomads. You can also see the oasis there. The largest and hottest desert of India is the Thar Desert. It is the world's largest 17th desert.

\textbf{Answer 2:}

➡ Generally, people who are homeless, live in deserts. Like the nomads, who can be easily spotted in deserts. They roam here and there in search of fodder and water for their cattle. They keep changing their place and use the ship of the desert, the camel for this purpose. They eat meat and all those things. They really live very simply with their own customs and traditions.
