CONSTITITION : It is a written document which contain laws and rules according to which a country is governed.

Indian constitution Is regarded as the longest written and one of the best constitution in India.

☆ BASIC PRINCIPLES OF INDIAN CONSTITUTION ☆

> The basic principle of India are namely :

▪ SOVEREIGNTY : People have supreme right to make decisions on internal as well as external matters.No external power can dictate the government of India.

▪ Fundamental Rights : Our constitution offers six rights which are fundamental.

1. Right to Equality
2. Right to Freedom (cluster of 6 rights )
3. Right to freedom of relegion
4.Right to Constitutional Remedies.
5. Right against exploitation.
6. Cultural and Educational Rights.

▪ Directive principles of State policy :
These are guidelines to central and state government of India, to keep in mind while making laws and policies.

▪ Socialism : Wealth is generated socially and should be shared equally by society. Government should regulate the ownership of land and industry to reduce socio-economic inequalities.

▪ Secularism : India is a secular state. It means that India doesn't have any official relegion. Citizens have the complete free dom to follow any relegion. Government treat all relegion with equal respect.

▪ Judicial Independence : Independence of judiciary means it is not under the control of the legislature or the executive. The judges of the supreme court and the High courts are appointed by President. A judge can be removed only by Impeachment movement. The courts have the power to interpret the constitution of the country.

▪ Federalism : There is a federal division of power among the government, that is, it is divided into different levels, central and state government. This is also called Vertical power sharing.

▪ Cabinet government : The council of Ministers exercises the executive authority in the Republic of India. It consists of senior ministers, called Cabinet Ministers. It is led by Prime Minister. This body is the supreme decision making body of India.

Some of the basic Principles of Indian constitution are are -:

Popular sovereignty - The Government needs a LIMIT to exercise their powers on the country, As in a government that doesn't follow this principle will neglect the constitution and take advantage over it.  


Socialism - As is STRICTLY regulates the markets where masses(governments) decide what to produce and how much to produce with no intention of profits as instead their main aim is to full fill everyone's basic need with equality.

Fundamental rights - As rights help is the sustenance of democracy, It helps to give opportunity to every citizen of that particular country to express their opinions, form political parties, it helps to protect the minorities from the oppressive majorities.


Directive principles of State policy - Its helps to aim to create social and economic conditions under which it makes sure that every citizen can reach a good life. 


Secularism - It is essential as it helps to regulate the relation between the state and various religious or social groups on the principle of equality that the state shall not discriminate any religion.

Judicial independence - It helps to stabilize the government as to avoid the improper influence on the court from the other branches of government or also from the private interests.


Federalism - It is a form of power sharing where it helps to give equal power of the central as well as the state government, As the avoid disputes between them. There has been a third tier of government introduced called the Panchayath in village areas or Municipalities in rural areas.


Cabinet government - The cabinet has become an important element of government where legislative powers have been vested in a parliament. It takes care of the countries structure and economy which is very essential for the countries development.
