Southwest monsoon:

the season from June to September

I doesn't rain continuously. they are rainless intervals in this season.

it blows in India namely Arabian Sea branch Bay of Bengal branch

major portion of annual rainfall in India is due to this type of monsoon season.

Northeast monsoon:
the season starts in December and ends in February.

it does not possess any rainless interval.

it does not have any branches.

minor portion of annual rainfall in India is due its type of monsoon

SOUTH WEST MONSOON :
1.Strikes at western ghats;and gives rainfall to the western most regions;while western ghats sheilds the inner region so Deccan plateau becomes a dry land.

2.moves parallel with the eastern ghats and produce no rainfall until it strikes at Bangladesh.

3.Another current enters at kutch peninsula and gives medium rainfall to the Indo-Gangetic plains.

The South west monsoon is also called as a Sea breeze and produces more rainfall than North East monsoon.The maximum rainfall will be recorded by state of Kerala,While Mumbai receives the next.
NORTH EAST MONSOON:
1.A semi-arid area in the rain shadow region near Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. Monsoon clouds dump torrents of rain on lush forests .

2.The weather in Northeast India sets the perfect settings for visitors to head out for one of the most spellbinding landscapes in India at any instance of time throughout the year.

3.The northeast part of India receives mild and heavy rainfall and as a result, pleasant climate hovers around in this part of the world.
