Marks are actually, like, a representation of your academic knowledge at a SPECIFIC instant. They don't matter in your overall life.You can always keep learning and learning.......improving your knowledge every time. So even if you get less marks in an exam, you can always correct it (atleast not at THAT instant when you receive the answer paper). So, marks actually don't matter in real life.
But, controversially, the percentage of marks you obtain in the final examination of your school life, the 12th board examination, will DEFINITELY affect your career. The probability of you getting a secured job or not depends on your marks. That's why our parents insist on us to keep on studying and studying until we become perfect in scoring marks.
But, you must've noticed other people in life like poor people. Even they have the right to life and live with the amount of knowledge they have. Even, if you fail your Class 12 and 11 examinations, you can still hold a post in politics and gain respect, like most Ministers.They live a prosperous life even after their exam failure. The amount of knowledge you have decides the quality of your life, too.
So, do marks really matter in life? You decide.

1.♤ According to Indian education system for them Marks really matters because marks decide our future and Career if our academic session is not good than there are chances we won't get good and secure job opportunity because our future depends on what we do todays.
2.♤ Whereas, in other countries marks are as important as in india but in foreign countries school focus more on the sports and extra activities and try develop the students in all field and bring out the hidden talent in the students.
3.♤ If you failed in any subject or in academic session don't lose hope because we always have second chance we should try our best to score good marks and focus on our studies and other activities too.
