We know that

1 m = 100 cm

1 square metre can be written as :-

1 m² = 1m × 1m

=> 1 m² = 100 cm × 100 cm

=> 1 m² = 10,000 cm²

Here it is asked how to convert centimetre square to metre square

So,

1 m² = 10,000 cm²

=> 1 cm² = 1/10,000 m²

So x cm² = x/10,000 m²

Where x is any positive real number.
Example :-

Convert 2,89,000 cm² to m²

=> 1 cm² = 1/10,000 m²

=> 2,89,000 cm² = 289000/10,000

=> 289000 cm² = 28.9 m²

Hope you understand :)

sprao534: x may be any positive real number. it needn't be a natural number i hope
Mankuthemonkey01: Yeah. Thanks for pointing out.

1m = 100cm

So ........

1cm =1/100 m

Ur question is :-

\huge\blue{Convert cm^2 into m^2}

1cm=1/100m

Take square on both sides

1cm^2 = ( 1/100m)^2

1cm^2 = 1/10000m^2

OR .........

\huge\pink {1cm^2 = 10^minus4m^2 }

In this way u can convert cm^2 into m^2
