For Area of inner circle,
RADIUS = 4.5 / 2 = 2.25 cm
Area = pi r^2 = 22/7 × 2.25 × 2.25 = 15.91 cm^2
For Area of smaller inner semicircle ( consider both inner semicircle as 1 complete circle )
RADIUS = 3/2 = 1.5 cm
So, Area of 2 inner smaller semicircle = pi r^2
= 22/7 × 1.5 × 1.5 = 7.07 cm^2
Area of outer semicircle = Area of 2 inner semicircles / 2
AREA of outer semicircle = 7.07 /2 = 3.535 cm^2
For AREA of bigger semicircle,
RADIUS = 9 /2 = 4. 5 cm^2
AREA of bigger semicircle =1 /2 × 22/7 × 4.5 × 4.5
= 31.82 cm^2
For Area of shaded region = Area of bigger semicircle - [ Area of inner circle + Area of 2 inner semicircles ( considered as 1 circle ) ] + Area of outer smaller semicircle
Area of shaded region ={ 31.82 - [ 15.91 + 7.07 ] + 3.53 } cm^2
Area of shaded region = ( 31.82 - 22.98 +3.53) cm^2
Area of shaded region = ( 35.35 - 22.98 ) cm^2
