normally we get permanent magnets from the load stone and we can even prepare a magnet by..

RUBBING THE IRON ROD TO MAGNETS FOR SOME TIME IN SAME DIRECTION...

magnet are a temporary or permanent.temporary magnets are made easily by subjecting a ferromagnetic material
to the magnetic field of an existing magnet
that cause it's domain to align temporarily
producing magnetic fields that lasts for a short
time after the removal of magnet.
