↪The story is based on pre as well as post war between Holland and Germany. It recounts the story of the Narrator and her attempts to get back the belongings of her mother from Mrs.Dorling, one of her acquaintance.

" My mother seemed to notice that I was not entirely Convinced " .

⏪The statement was made by when the narrator had returned home on account of vacations . She noticed that many of the things in her room were missing . When she questioned her mother , she was a given the explanation about Mrs.Doorling carrying away their precious belongings to keep them safe .
But the Narrator was not Convinced by her Explanation. Thus, she made this statement.
