An orifice meter is a pharmaceutical machine which works on the same principle of Venturi metre. It has orifice plates reducing the idea of the pipe to increase the velocity of the flowing liquid. It only works for ideal fluid which is incompressible, non-viscous, non-sticky. It depends on the area of the traveling in fluid as the area decreases the pressure decreases and the velocity of the liquid increases.

Formula- V = k/a where v is velocity, a is area. K is proportionality constant.
