A jet water is issuing horizontally from hope pipe with a velocity 2 m/s strikes a vertical wall .what is the force exerted by the jet on the wall if the area of the mouth of the hope pipe is 5 square cm and the density of water is 10^3 k/m3

ans is 2N..how

According to equation of continuity

Volume of water flowing per second = A × V

As density = mass/volume

volume = mass/density

So A× V = m/d

m= A× V × d

As f= ma = m dv/dt

So F= A× V× d × V( As its per second)

= A V^2 d

= 5 × 10^-4 × 4 × 10^3

= 20× 10^-1 = 2
