Let concentration of CO2 and H2 is x

Concentration of CO and H2O is (0.1 - x)

Kc = [CO2] [H2] / [CO] [H2O]

Put values in equation

4.24 = x^2 / (0.1 - x) ^2

4.24 = x^2 / (0.01 - 0.2x + x^2)

0.0424 - 0.848x + 4.24x^2 = x^2

3.24x^2 - 0.848x + 0.0424 = 0

NOW a = 3.24 b = - 0.848 c = 0.0424

Now for equation. Ax^2 + Bx +C = 0

Solve it using quadratic equation we get two values of x

X= 0.067 and 0.194

NOW x could not be more than initial concentration that is 0.1M so neglect x = 0.194

Hence eq. Concentration of CO2 and H2 is 0.067M

Eq. Concentration of CO and H2O is (0.1-x)

(0.1-0.067) = 0.034M

Thanks
