prove that the loss in weight of a body when immersed wholly or partially in a liquid is equal 2 the buoyant force(or upthrust) and this loss is becoz of the difference in pressure exerted by liquid on the upper or lower surfaces of the submerged part of the body

as buoyant force is volume immersed× density ×g

as it acts opposite side of weight

so net weight = mg - bouyant force

loss in weight = buoyant force

this is due to pressure difference

which is density × g × height
