Please..answer these four questions ...its urgent!! :(

i)mention to inherent characteristics of amoeba and yeast that enable then to reproduce asexually
ii)although potato tuber is an underground part it is considered as a stem give reason
iii)the probability of fruit set in a self pollinated bisexual flower of a plant is far greater than a ioecious plant .explain
iv)Is there a relationship between the size of an organism and a lifespan? give two examples in support of your answer ..

  1. ameoba has the ability to divide itself to form to daughter cell for which it doesn't require another parent and in yeast has the ability to release pores which makes it asexual mode of reproduction

a)(i) they have relatively simple organisation and uni-parental condition.

(ii) asexual reproduction helps them to multiply very fast.

b)Potato tuber is considered as a stem because of the following reasons (i) The tuber has nodes and internodes. (ii) Leafy shoots appear from the nodes.

c)The probability of fruit set in a self-pollinated bisexual flower of a plant is far greater than a dioecious plant. In self-pollinated bisexual plants transfer of pollen to stigma of flowers is easier than the dioecious plants.

d)The size of a crow and a parrot is the same but a crow can live for 15 years while a parrot, 140 years.
