which is ryt sentence

1) For is used with a period of time.......There is neither beginning of time nor end of time....
2) Since is used before a specific time or date..... There is always a beginning of time and the use is in Perfect tenses....
So because of these reasons the word *For* is to be used before *short time*.... That's why FOR A SHORT TIME is the correct..Hope it will remove your doubt if any... Please click on red heart button right above... Thanks
