No, nobody wants to become a farmer.. Because it's very difficult task for modern students.. No one is spending money about careers to become farmer.

According to me, mostly due to following two reason
1) High risk factor and hard work involved in farming
2) People wish to become rich and enjoy Levis life style without much physical work involved.

Let me explain:
My father has a farm and sometime I need to take care of it so I am bit aware of real situation.
Seasonal and other issues :

India's monsoon is very uncertain so farming in Monsoon season is highly risky. One need to predict future with involving risk like sometime high volume of rain ruin upper layer of soil so seeds will drag away from farm while sometime improper rain will create scarcity of water and seeds wont get proper circumstances to grow up.

However, now irrigation sources available which might solve some of problems but again have some other issue like many of area have still electricity problem or in dark zone where only drip irrigation can be afforded but again farmer don’t have much knowledge about such irrigation or crops.

Rest of year, winter and summer cropping depends upon irrigation only but sometime pre-seasonal rain cause huge damage to crop.
Each and Every season, we need to invest money for seeds, fertilizer, pesticides and of course manual work from time of seeding to cultivation each phase required manual workforce in task. If estimation goes wrong in any of matter like seasonal issues, pest issues or unavailability of manual workforce then result may be disaster.

So people who don’t have good economic back up have always fear of investing in it.

Involvement of yourself in agriculture:
Again investing money is not just ending your task but you have to involve yourself in all task. From seeding to cultivation in each phase, you need to invest your time whether there is sunny day or rainy day. At some of interval, we need to remove unwanted grown plan, need to use different methods for farming, pesticides, using composite fertilizer and lots of other things. You cannot fully depend on other person or labor for it.
After doing lots of this and that, there is not any surety for getting marginal profit every year. Some years are very good, some are good, some are bad and some are worst so we don’t know which year this may be?

Due to uncertainty of income, many are avoiding to accept it as fulltime work.
I am working in MNC with good scale and of course full AC environment then why should I need to suffer myself for some agriculture activity. This is the main thought arrive when I asked anyone for my future plan. Even my family member wont agree due to high risk factor involved in it.
For those who see agriculture as benefits for taxation:
It is really not golden apple for everyone. Please visit near shop for seeds, pesticides etc. and just check prize. If you dont have financial support then definitely it will like to jump on sea without knowing its depth.

Government is doing many sincere efforts for encouraging farmers by many governmental schemes but somehow many of efforts are vanished due to improper way or not reaching to End user.

Mankuthemonkey01: We should promote awareness and focus on the interests of farmer
Mankuthemonkey01: if we do so then we can help farmers and thus increasing the number of farmers in India
Mankuthemonkey01: hope it helps
Mankuthemonkey01: hey rabia if it helps then let me know
