Heyy,,

Need ur help guys.....

MERCURY DOES NOT WET OUR HAND WHY ????

Explain me in easy language.....

Thankyou❤

sherripeter2005: So it does not stick to your hand. Another hypothesis is that because water is hydrophilic, and there is water in skin, the water sticks to the skin, making it wet. ... Also, the surface tension of mercury is much greater than water's and so does not spread out and cling on as easily.

Because mercury makes bond with mercury easily not other materials. Also this is the reason it dont stick to walls of thermometer or alike things.
