First of fall you have the team of 6 players. Three net players and three field player.What are the basic rules and regulations of playing volleyball?
There are 6 players on the field. Three net players and three field players. Field players are not allowed to block or spike inside the 3m zone. You may see them jump from behind the 3m line to spike sometimes, but their primary task is to defend. This means you’ll have 3 duos: two middle blockers, two outside hitters and a setter-opposite duo. One of each duo will be a net player, the other the field player. As they rotate they will switch positions.
The player with the odd jersey is the libero. He can freely substitute a field player between every point. Normally they replace the middle blockers, since those are the tallest guys good at blocking, but not at defending. The libero is often small and good at defending. The libero is not allowed to serve or spike.
