ANSWER.......

☞ In organic chemistry, isomers are molecules with the same molecular formula (i.e. the same number of atoms of each element), but different structural or spatial arrangements of the atoms within the molecule...

Isomers are organic compound having same molecular formula but different structural formula or different arrangement of atoms. The phenomenon by which isomers are formed is called isomerism.

e.g C4H10 has 2 isomers

  i)CH3-CH2-CH2-CH3        ii)CH3-C-CH3

                                                            I

                                                         CH3

Note:In the second one there is a single bond between the middle C atom and methyl group(-CH3)

ISOMERISM is subdivided into two divisions

1)Structural isomerism

i)Positional isomerism

ii)Chain isomerism

iii)Functional isomerism

iv)Metamerism

v)Tautomerism

2)Stereo isomerism

i)Optical isomerism

ii)Geometrical isomerism

Hope this helps:)
