heyyy guys..
a monkey is descending from a branch of tree with constant acceleration.if the breaking strength of the branch is 75% of the weight of Monkey then the minimum acceleration with which the monkey can slide down without Breaking the branches is..
the ans is g/4..explain how..

As monkey is descending
let m be mass of monkey
T be tension
a be acceleration
So
mg - T = ma
Now here breaking strength is given that is maximum tension
As mg - T = ma
So if T is maximum and u are subtracting it with mg it would give least value of ma that is minimum acceleration
T = 75 % of mg
so mg - 75% of mg = ma
25% of mg = ma
mg/4 = ma
g/4 = a
let m be mass of monkey
T be tension
a be acceleration
So
mg - T = ma
Now here breaking strength is given that is maximum tension
As mg - T = ma
So if T is maximum and u are subtracting it with mg it would give least value of ma that is minimum acceleration
T = 75 % of mg
so mg - 75% of mg = ma
25% of mg = ma
mg/4 = ma
g/4 = a

let the force developed in the branch that will not let the branch to be break be F.
