it was raining heavily one night and I was alone at home with my younger brother suddenly there was a power cut and I did not know what to do. Our parents were out of the station and were supposed to be back next week. Due to the power cut, I was unable to call anyone for help either. We decided to stay as it is n the house and wait for the power to return.
We lit a few candles so that it was not dark anymore inside the house. Since we had nothing to do, we started talking about different things, like things about our school, friends, habits, preferences, etc. Both of us realised that maybe that was the first time they spoke to each other about ourselves for so long. We even got to know about things we had no knowledge about. It was a good moment even amidst the troubles we were going through.
Suddenly, we heard footsteps outside, advancing towards our main door. It came to a halt right in front of the door. We tried calling out to ask who it was, but the rain was too loud outside so we did not hear a thing. Just when we were about to head out and check, the door opened, and to our surprise, it was our parents. They came back earlier to surprise us but got stuck due to the rain. We were relieved to see them.
