• When there are irresistible heat the hottest rocks which is in the earth crust meet the colder rocks and a liquid is formed which makes the tectonic plate to move like bubbles floating on the water.  
• When earth’s plates move from each other crust is formed and when the plates come closer crust is destroyed in both these scenarios earth quakes occur.

Answer: We can say earth is still very active because the matter from deep inside the mantle shoots up through volcanoes and fissures on the ocean floors and cools down to form the earths crust. In many regions on the earth, part of the earths crust enters into and once again become molten. This constant process of formation and destruction of the crust explain the fact that our earth is still active. We can also say that the earth is still active due to natural disasters like cyclones, sand storms, floods,etc.
