For an exam preparation or your notebook.

First of all is that you should have an understanding handwriting.

Then in notes , you are to cover all the Important topics of the chapter with proper diagrams and examples.

And it will be great if you add some examples which were given by teachers in class.

And also add questions from chapters on your own.

And also to make your work more attractive you can write the heading with capital and attractive handwriting.

And whenever you have any new question, discuss it with your teacher and include it in your notes.

Whenever you are facing problem in making notes , You can take help from teachers and other elders.
