I did not understand the question but i'll assume you meant that will the variable change when you shift it to the other side of an equal sign.

The answer is no. When a variable is being added to another variable and you want to shift it to the other side of an equal sign, the addition will change to subtraction.

You cannot group two variables whether thay are being subtracted, divided, added or multiplied so -ab will remain -ab, but if you wan to shift to the other side of an equal sign, you cannot change -ab to ab, either -a will change or b will change to being divided on other side of equal sign

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

what happens here is

consider value of a = 2 and b=3

then -ab = -(2×3)

-(6)= -6

u have to put a minus sign infront of product of a and b

-ab = -(ab)

all the best for your exams :)
