 {\mathfrak {\pink {-:Sound\: waves :-}}}

 <b> 1. It requires a material medium for its propagation.

2. These waves travel with low speeds.

3. It may be longitudinal or transverse wave.

4. It is due to the vibrations of the particles of the medium.

 {\mathfrak {\green {-:Electromagnetic \: Waves:-}}}

1. It does not require a material medium for its propagation.

2. Thses travel with relatively high speeds.

3. It is always transverse wave.

4. It is due to the oscillating electrical and magnetic fields in space. </b>

Sound waves.
These are mechanical waves

They require a material medium for propagation

The speed of sound waves is low(330ms)

the wavelength of sound waves are in range 10^-2 to 10 m

These waves are longitudinal

Electromagnetic Waves:

These waves exhibit property of refraction n reflection

They can travel in vaccum

Speed is same as light i.e. 3×10^8 m/s

The wavelength of these waves r very small i.e. 10^-6 m

These waves are transverse.

Hope it helps
